A friend of mine, Brian, has been speaking about the authority Christians have been given over the Devil and his minions. Authority that can free us of any number of spiritual afflictions that can hold us down for a lifetime. That dominion is spelled out all over the Bible, yet most Christians seem to have somehow missed it.
What a shame.
Brian told me about a book written by Charles H. Kraft called Defeating Dark Angels. That book highlights this authority, and describes how Mr. Kraft used it to do just as the title describes.
Likewise, my friend Margaret has sent me a video with a message by the late Derek Prince. I must say that though I have heard this man’s name before, I know next to nothing about him. Of course, lately, I feel like I know next to nothing about almost everything!
Every day it seems I’m being awakened to something that had been hidden for most of my life. I’m seeing how authority figures including Media, government, clergy, you name it–have been taking our authority as their own, and using it to dominate our lives in one form or another.
And I am far from the only one waking up. We are living in a time of great awakening! We are so fortunate to be living in such a time, even though it also comes with a great deal of danger. I often think of the Chinese word for “crisis”–meaning both danger and opportunity!
The video featuring Derek Prince’s message is titled “5 Scriptures the Devil Hates–Unlock Your Spiritual Authority!” It’s thirty-seven minutes plus, and somewhat redundant, so watch whatever amount of it that you’d like. I just wanted you to be aware of it, because this mastery over evil is so important in our lives.
I grew up being a doubter–certainly a doubter of my own authority, so I know how crippling this can be, and how important it is to use the authority Christ has given us.
I believe a big part of this “great awakening” we are experiencing, is to awaken us to the command we have over dark forces.
I really hope that you will see the need for this authority in your life, and accept this great gift that Christ–through his Father–has bestowed on us. I believe it is a power that can guard our souls and grant us victory over evil, in all its forms.
