Last night I had a series of dreams…
I would dream something, wake up, essentially forget what I just dreamed, then fall back to sleep and continue the dream. This happened over and over, with each continuation making sense and adding meaning to the previous.
I finally awoke this morning, and realizations started coming that related to the dreams…
It was fascinating that I did not need to consciously remember each part of the dream after awakening, but Something “kept track” for me.
This “idea” began to mushroom, and I could begin to see my whole life related to this concept.
We concentrate the vast majority of our attention on ourselves. OUR thoughts. Our gripes. Our “strengths.” Our weaknesses. Our “point of view.” Mentally trying to make sense of the world, so we can regurgitate it back to ourselves and others.
There are things we want to remember, so we can continue “our story.”
Somewhere in the night, I had seen a glimpse over the cliff. I glimpsed another Mind besides my own: The UNIVERSAL Mind.
The Universal Mind is an Intelligence that rules the world and beyond.
There is no religious dogma associated with this Entity. Anyone of any background or existing belief system can tap into it.
Truthfully, I can not even explain it much more at the moment, because I am merely writing down in the present, what I was given in the recent past (early this morning)!
I can only say there is something liberating about this, to say the least.
The phrase, “I will write my laws in their MINDS and hearts” comes to mind.
“But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” –Jeremiah 31:33 (KJV)
He has already done this! All we have to do is be open to accessing it.
I have been so consumed with MY life–worried about where it is going, and wondering why God won’t show me direction when I want Him to. This filled too much of my consciousness. Then this dream series broke through, spurring these revelations.
Of course–life is NOT about us! And getting involved with this selfishness pushes out the Universal Mind! Ironically, it is this Universal Mind that clarifies our INDIVIDUAL purpose too!
My next desire, upon seeing these truths, is to HOLD ON to them, as has been my habit from just about Day One, it seems! But the whole lesson stemmed from my NOT being able to hold on to each part of my dream, and yet, having the whole series make sense!
This is all kind of funny. And I don’t know what I will or will not hold on to. Hopefully, NONE of it, right? We cannot HOLD the Universal Mind! The willingness to LET GO lets us SEE the Universal Mind to begin with!
But somewhere inside, I have at least a small knowing that the Universal Mind holds the answer to every problem we have, every dream we seek, and can ultimately resolve every conflict that exists in this selfish world of ours.
And that’s enough for me.
